Summertime!

Granted, it is not officially summer according to most calendars, but according to mine it is!  I ventured down to the Farmer’s Market this morning, which was in full swing, and had a blast!

These beauties were only $10!  Something that huge would normally be at least $25 at a florist’s.  I also got a beautiful head of romaine lettuce, and some lovely little peaches.  It didn’t hurt that the weather was a balmy 75 degrees, simply gorgeous for this time of year!

I also need to insert some pictures of my vegetable garden that I planted a couple weeks ago.  I probably need to get some updated pictures as the ones I’m putting on here are from the day after I planted them, so they’re tiny.  As of right now, they’re all probably double in size.  They grow up so fast!

These are my cucumbers — they seem to be doing pretty well.

These are my squash.  Currently these seem to be thriving the most, they’re getting huge.

These are my baby watermelon.  I’m excited to see how these turn out!  One seems to be struggling a bit, but I’m hoping it will recover.

This is the whole garden!  I neglected to take individual pictures of my roma tomatoes and green & red bell pepper plants, but they are there.

Such fun!  I am loving my vegetable garden, its proving to be quite the hobby.
